Environmental Program Manager

DutiesAs an Environmental Program Manager the following duties would be performed:
Helps with design, implementation, and evaluation of citizen science projects, including helping with data collection, data quality procedures, and project volunteer engagement.
Works with SERC Scientists to organize, train and manage citizen scientist research, volunteers, a program assistant, and interns.
This includes coordination with scientists, stakeholders, schools, and other organizations for trainings and workshops.
Provides oversight to assure compliance with SERC/SI policy and best practices.
Coordinates, manages, and conduct programs for the general public.
Incumbent may conceive, design, implement and evaluate specific scientific outreach programs within the overall framework of the Citizen Science Program, including virtual talks and projects, demonstrations, and exhibitions for the public which interpret and communicate current ecological issues and environmental research conducted at SERC.

QualificationsBasic Requirements:
A.
Degree:
biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or B.
Combination of education and
Experience:
Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
In addition to the basic education requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the specialized

Experience:
You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system.
For this position Specialized experience is defined as organizing, coordinating, and/or evaluating public participation in a science research program, including projects that include collaboration with scientists, training of citizen scientists, volunteer management data management and collection, and liaising with stakeholders, schools, or other professional organizations.
Has experience collecting, managing, and reporting data for scientific research and public outreach.
Or Education:
2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degreeOr a Combination:
Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
